About Santo Mezcal Santa Barbara
Santo Mezcal is a contemporary Mexican restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara. This restaurant features an incredible menu based on contemporary Mexican cuisine. Restauranteur Carlos Luna created this concept, which combines the tradition, history, and flavors of Mexico with the modern Santa Barbara cuisine. Head chef Ricardo Garcia expertly crafted a menu that’s rooted in traditional Mexican dishes but explores the seasonal and local ingredients and flavors of Santa Barbara.
The Menu
We know what you really care about: the food! Here are a few of our favorite menu options:
- Hongos al Guajillo
- Shiitake mushrooms sautéed with chile Guajillo and garlic
- Ceviche de Mariscos
- Octopus, shrimp, and scallops served with red onion, cucumber, salsa macha, nuts, cilantro, and Fresno pepper
- Ensalada Mezcal
- Spring mix, mango, mandarin oranges, cranberries, cherry tomatoes, cheese, avocado, and balsamic dressing
- Filete Costeno
- Rib-eye steak with a cheese-stuffed pasilla pepper and one crab enchilada. Served with beans, grilled onions and nopal, and yellow peppers
- Tacos salmon
- Two salmon tacos topped with grilled pineapple and chipotle sauce
- Tacos de atun
- Two ahi tuna tacos topped with cabbage, avocado aioli, sweet sauce and chipotle sauce
- Enchiladas verdes
- Two chicken or beef enchiladas, melted cheese, green sauce, sour cream and queso fresco
- Enchiladas cabo azul
- Two shrimp, fish, and melted cheese enchiladas topped with a creamy chipotle sauce
