Explore the local talents of Santa Barbara artists at the Santa Barbara arts & crafts show! When you visit the art show, you can’t help but be impressed at the incredible talent on display. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming arts & crafts shows.
What is the Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts show?
First started in 1965, the Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show was inspired by art shows in Europe and Mexico City, which showcased local artists and their wares. Now sponsored by the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, this show allows artists to share their original creations with locals and tourists. Here, you can discover drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography, and more. And, each piece of artwork you’ll find here is made by the artist at the booth, so you know you’re getting an original.
Each weekend, about 200 local Santa Barbara artists showcase their work in this informal setting, letting visitors to the show interact with the artists, occasionally even watching them create the work on display. This experience gives visitors and locals alike the chance to explore the unique art created by Santa Barbara’s locals.
