None of us is ready to face November yet — that’s true. We’re still pumped about Halloween. But if you’re planning to see Santa Barbara in November 2017, here’s what should be on your radar!
Thanksgiving Day Pumpkin Smash – November 23, 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Hosted by the Santa Barbara Zoo, this is an event for the whole family — especially those with young children. The zoo combines two of the best things: happy animals and pumpkins. Whether any pumpkins actually get “smashed” will remain to be seen. Read more about the event here.
8th Annual Santa Barbara Chowder Fest – November 5, 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
Even if you missed out on some of the (many) beer and wine festivals and tastings of summer, here’s one more shot. Not only can you sample from the chowders in competition, but you can drink too. Oh, they’re also hosting a simultaneous chili competition. Learn more on the festival’s website. What did we do to deserve this goodness?
Ramenfest – November 12, 12:00 – 4:00 PM.
Everyone can get behind this one…we would hope. Slurping down a bowl of hot ramen on a brisk fall afternoon? Now that is living. Like Chowder Fest, cooks and chefs from the area will congregate to give you their best bowl. Japanese beers, sakes, and whiskeys will also be on offer. Grab your tickets here.
