Santa Barbara has been closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation in the city and as the city is now in Phase Two, new Santa Barbara activities and businesses are open again.
Beaches
Santa Barbara beaches are open for your enjoyment! You’re able to walk or run along the beach and participate in water activities, but group activities are not allowed.
Restaurants
Many local restaurants have been open for takeout and delivery services. Now, SB restaurants have received the go-ahead to open for dine-in services as long as they adhere to certain guidelines. The restaurants will be operating in a limited capacity to maintain social distancing. Bars are not allowed to reopen.
Retail
Santa Barbara retail businesses are allowed to open to the public as well. In order to reopen, these businesses must limit the number of people inside at any time to enforce social distancing of 6 feet between customers. Additionally, in outdoor spaces where lines might form, businesses must mark 6 foot distances for those standing in line.
Hiking
Hiking trails are open for use. Walkers and hikers following the courses must maintain a 6 ft. distance from people outside their family group.
Golf Courses
Golf courses in Santa Barbara are open with extra guidelines. In order to maintain social distancing, only one person will be allowed per golf cart. All transactions are cashless for the time being, and players must maintain a 6 foot distance from each other. Doors will be propped open, ball washers and flags have been removed, and cups have been raised in order to reduce the number of touch points along the course.
