Better still, we at Marina Beach Motel offers free Beach Cruiser bike rentals to all of our guests. So hop on one of our cute Beach Cruisers (or for the more adventurous rides, grab a mountain bike) and start exploring one of these gorgeous bike rides in Santa Barbara.

Gibraltar Road

The bike ride along Gibraltar Road is known for crossing through mountains and going along beach paths. This path is 22 miles one way and crosses through some of most beautiful spots in the area, including the Old Mission Santa Barbara. At the trail’s peak on Gibraltar Mountain, you can pause to take in a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean at a 3,000 foot elevation. Then you can descend and even pass Stearns Wharf along the way.

Romero Canyon Trail

This trail offers the rider an incredible view of the Channel Islands and runs 2,000 feet above the Romero Canyon in a 10 mile loop. Because this path is steep, it can be challenging, but it offers a thrilling experience for cyclists, particularly since it’s coupled with that beautiful view.

Cabrillo Beach Bike Path

This bike path is less challenging than the previously mentioned ones, running just over a mile. It’s a flat path that offers a cruising view of Santa Barbara’s downtown district. If you take this path, you can enjoy the beauty of Santa Barbara’s shopping district and even pick up a few souvenirs along the way.

Montecito Village Trail

This is a 9 mile ride that passes through Montecito Village, including one of its shopping areas, numerous restaurants, and lots of beautiful homes – including those of celebrities! It’s a leisurely ride with a beautiful view and lots to do along the way.

Little Pine Loop

This is a challenging but exciting ride near Santa Ynez River and is popular with locals and visitors alike. At 17.6 miles in length reaching over 4,000 feet in altitude it is a thrilling experience with beautiful views of the surrounding area.

No matter where your bike rides in Santa Barbara take you, you’re sure to see beautiful scenery and friendly locals along the way. And after a long day on the trails, come rest your head at Marina Beach Motel. We’ll have your room ready for you!
