Three Golf Courses to Visit During Your Stay in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara has no shortage of attractions, but certain days just call for an afternoon on the greens. That being said, here are just a few of our favorite golf courses.

River Course at the Alisal

It may not be right around the corner, but it does have 4-Star rating from Golf Digest. River Course boasts “breathtaking panoramas of the brilliant hues of the foothills and the Santa Ynez Mountains and Valley,” according to its website. When you resign for the night, make sure to stop in at the club’s River Grill Restaurant.

Rancho San Marcos

The Rancho San Marcos Golf Course was established by the Santa Barbara Mission as an outpost. Today, it resides just 15 minutes outside of the city. This golf course affords all visitors with a challenge as well as a magnificent backdrop. It’s a 6,939-yard 71 par course where you can just take in the outdoors, relax and reminisce.

Glen Annie Golf Club

The Glen Annie Golf Club is not only home to the golf course, it’s home to Santa Barbara’s popular Frog Bar & Grill. Take one look at the venue’s “award-winning architecture” and “spectacular views,” and you’ll understand why it’s commonly host to elegant weddings, golf tournaments, and more.
