Santa Barbara’s Holiday Celebration

Santa Barbara was bursting with activity this holiday season and we couldn’t have been happier to have you stay with us this time around! We hope our untraditional holiday setting helped create a new tradition for you and your family.

There was a variety of things to do and each one was fun and festive. From the Eye See Santa Barbara Holiday Lights Photography Tour to the annual Ugly Sweater Crawl, there was never a dull moment in Santa Barbara this holiday season. The photography tour gave Santa Barbara tourists the chance to capture the beauty of the holiday season here and the Ugly Sweater Crawl offered a great way to have fun and meet people.

Although it’s likely that you visited Santa Barbara to reap the health benefits of Santa Barbara sunshine, but for those who were hankering for some snowfall, we had that too! There were nightly snowfalls at Paseo Nuevo, so even the snow lovers had something to keep them happy.

And of course, we had our 63rd Annual Holiday Parade in downtown Santa Barbara, as well as a meet & greet with Santa, on December 4th. The parade is the only Santa Barbara parade that happens at night, making all of the twinkling holiday lights stand out.

Speaking of holiday lights, many of you got to enjoy the Santa Barbara Trolley of Lights this year during its run from December 10th-23rd! The tour is a local treasure, offering riders a 90 minute-trolley ride all around the metro area to see the lights and holiday decorations. In fact, it was so popular that tickets sold out this year! So if you didn’t get the chance to ride the trolley this year, be sure to book your tickets in advance next time around.

Whether you were able to join us this holiday season or not, all of us here at Marina beach Motel would like to thank you, our incredible guests, for your support and business this year. We are truly grateful for the chance to house you, your family, and your pets, even for just a short time while you enjoy our beautiful city of Santa Barbara.
