Sipping on the Sea 2021 in Santa Barbara: What You Need to Know

A glass of wine in your hand, a breeze in the air, and the sea below–what more could you ask for? During the Sipping on the Sea 2021 events, you can experience wine or beer tastings on the open seas from the deck of a cruise ship. Sound like an incredible experience? It is! Read on to learn more.

What is Sipping on the Sea 2021?

Sipping on the Sea 2021 is hosted by the Santa Barbara Sailing Club and is a wonderful way to celebrate summer and fall. This Santa Barbara event takes guests aboard the Double Dolphin cruise ship for an evening of wine, beer, and views while enjoying the spectacular Santa Barbara sunset. While you’re there, a representative from that night’s winery or brewery will also be on board to pour tastings and answer your questions. As you sip at sea, you’ll also learn about Santa Barbara from the boat’s Captain.

When is it?

This cruise takes place on the third Thursday of each month through October. You can see the scheduled times for each cruise on the website.

Which wineries are participating?

Each Sipping on the Sea 2021 cruise highlights a different winery or brewery. Here’s the list of participating Santa Barbara wineries & breweries for this summer:

June 17th: Third Window Brewery

July 15th: Grassini Winery

August 19th: Topa Topa Brewing

September 16th: Melville Winery

October 21st: Captain Fatty’s Brewery

How can I get tickets?

Tickets are $75 and this cruise is for guests 21+ only. You can purchase tickets through the official link here. Each sailing includes a reusable Santa Barbara Sailing Center Govino souvenir cup.
