You’ll be California dreamin’ on this bike route. Spanning 21 miles, it’s a path that’s flat, paved, and absolutely idyllic. You’ll be cruising beachside with your hair blowing in the wind and not a care in the world. As you peddle onward, you’ll venture through UCSB’s coastal campus and lemon groves before circling back toward the ocean.

Pick up this scenic bike path at Cabrillo Blvd, then spend the afternoon beneath the sun. While this particular route follows the coast of Santa Barbara’s downtown, it also offers picnic benches along the way as well as an opportunity for pick up sports. You’ll peddle with great ease, making this path desirable for families with children.

Santa Barbara to Ventura

This is an ambitious bike ride that we wouldn’t recommend for the beginner cyclist. While it isn’t rigorous, per se, it offers a lengthy 32 miles of ocean, cliff, and mountain views. If you’re up for the challenge, however, it’s well worth your energy. It’s rolling terrain presents riders with epic perspectives you won’t soon find elsewhere.
